Kitchen Window Opens in New Location

Kitchen Window is now open in their NEW and EXPANDED location at the south end of Calhoun Square. The store features expanded lines and brands, with everything the passionate cook could need.

BayStreet Shoes Expansion Now Open!

The grand opening of the newly expanded Baystreet Shoes location in Calhoun Square is being celebrated today, October 29th 2009. A 25-year tenant of Calhoun Square, they are the single longest standing tenant within the shopping center. The new location is on the 1st floor atrium nearest the Famous Dave’s BBQ and Blues entrance. Adding to the wide selection of unique shoes, boots and sandals, the new store is greatly expanding their women’s purse and bag offerings. They are adding new lines of fashionable jewelry, caps, hats, mittens and gloves. Their menswear offerings are expanding to offer socks and quality leather goods such as passport cases and man bags. “Our new store will mirror what our company philosophy has been all along. We strive to answer our client’s need for quality footwear that makes a statement about the wearer, said Besikof. “We’ve gained a strong reputation for our knowledge and low pressure sales approach. Our new space offers beautiful surroundings and inviting seating areas that allow customers the environment conducive to taking in our new offerings,” concluded Besikof.

Bremer Bank Relocates

Bremer Bank Calhoun Square has re-opened with an updated, modern look and a new location in Calhoun Square. The bank, previously located on the main level next to Kitchen Window, opened Oct. 12, with a 1,335-square foot branch next to Famous Dave’s on the first level. “Uptown is an exciting place to be as businesses like Bremer move into new or renovated space in the upgraded Calhoun Square,” said Shane Gibb, market manager for Bremer Bank Calhoun Square. “Not only is our new branch in a prime location to serve clients with more space, it also was designed with a very trendy look to fit in with the overall theme of the Uptown community and the new look of the upgraded Calhoun Square. We encourage everyone to stop by and visit our new location in October.” The new location also features three client service stations and an ADA station to service clients with disabilities.

Tomorrow's Stars

Make sure to take a break when visiting the Uptown Art Fair and check out Tomorrow's Stars Seen Today, hosted in the Calhoun Square atrium. Tomorrow's Stars is a youth artist program, helping young artists learn about money management and sales, and allows young people in the Twin Cities to promote their art in a fun and safe environment. Kids ages 8-18 are showcasing a variety of art, including photography, jewelry, pottery, sculptures, textiles, and crafts. You'll be amazed at the quality of their work - and their affordable prices! Sushi Tango Expands Into New Space

Calhoun Square is proud to announce the expansion of one of its long-time restaurant partners, Sushi Tango. Sushi Tango’s new space has a sleek look with a modern edge, but will continue to feature local favorites - the sushi bar, a wide variety of vegetarian options, and the well-known green tea ice cream. “If you know sushi, we will have your choice on the menu and you will be happy,” said Tengo. “If you don’t know, you should order the Sushi Tango and we will make you happy.”

Vision World Moves to a New Store!

Vision World is now open! Come in and check out their new store, across from Famous Daves. They now have a lab onsite, so can make your glasses in an hour – which leaves plenty of time to grab lunch while you wait.

South Entrance Closed

The south entrance to Calhoun Square is now closed, and will remain closed until mid 2009. Please use the entrance at the corner of Lake and Hennepin for access.
